PHOTO UNWRAPPING SOFTWARE

UnWrapping the image produced by the 0-360 is easy! We have created several methods to unwrap the image, creating a panoramic image. Depending on your browser, platform, and available image processing software, you may choose from any of the methods below:

0-360 UnWrapper   We have created a stand-alone application, the 0-360 UnWrapper™, which unwraps the images and saves them to your hard drive. This software can save in the following formats: JPG for Java, Flash, and HTML5 based viewers, and QTVR for QuickTime (deprecated). You also have the option of saving a small thumbnail image of your panorama. You'll be surprised by the simplicity, ease of use, and powerful features of the 0-360 UnWrapper! The software even writes the html coding necessary for displaying the Virtual Tour on your website. This is usually the only software you need, and is free to purchasers of our 0-360 Panoramic Optic™.

NOTE: The 0-360 UnWrapper™ is solely for use with images from the 0-360 Panoramic Optic™. Use with other images is strictly prohibited.

Video UnWrapping is here! (see below)

360 degree video is here!    0-360.com offers the new 360video Unwrapper Studio, which takes videos created with a digital video camera and our Optic, and turns them into interactive 360 degree video virtual tours! Visit 360video.com for more details. The 360video Unwrapper Studio was available for purchase at $349, but is now available for free with every purchase of the 0-360 Panoramic Optic.

Video UnWrapper Script for Photoshop CS3:    Users of Photoshop CS3 (Extended version only) can use this script to UnWrap videos taken with the 0-360 Panoramic Optic into equirectangular 360 degree videos (a rectangular viewer with all 360 degrees visible at the same time).

Photoshop Users:    While the UnWrapper™ above is the preferred method of image processing, Adobe Photoshop users can UnWrap the image and use the many powerful features of Photoshop at the same time. We have created a simple Photoshop "Action" which you can download here. This Action will unwrap the 0-360 image with a few clicks of the mouse. Then, you may use the many features of Photoshop to enhance the image, as desired. Using this method, you will be able to create images in JPG format, for use with Java or Flash based viewers.

NOTE: The 0-360 Photoshop action is solely for use with images from the 0-360 Panoramic Optic™. Use with other images is strictly prohibited.

Photoshop Elements Users:    Photoshop Elements don't despair! You have all the functions necessary to UnWrap our images, except you will not be able to process them using an Action script. You will simply process each image through a series of steps. Then, you may use the many features of Photoshop Elements to enhance the image, as desired. Using this method, you will be able to create images in JPG format, for use with Java and Flash based viewers.

Dynamic Range/Compositing software:    (NOTE: This is not software for processing virtual tours, but for enhancing photos. The only software you need for processing virtual tours is the UnWrapper™ above, which is included for free with the purchase of the 0-360 Panoramic Optic™. This is 3rd party software which we recommend for those who want to improve their digital camera photos.)

Current digital camera sensors do not have as good of dynamic range as the human eye. This means that a digital cameras has a difficult time capturing the bright light coming from a window at the same time it captures the somewhat darker interior, resulting in dark walls, or glare from the windows. Using this software, you will be able to take a few shots, bracketed at different exposures, and composite them for increased dynamic range (HDR). This also tends to reduce the noise inherent in low-light digital camera shots.
